Is it easy for you to get triggered?

As Carl Jung wisely states in this quote, other people are great reflectors of what’s actually going on inside of us. When a certain situation or person has the power to irritate you, they’re really pushing some kind of button that’s already inside of you. While our first impulse can be to try and change or control another person, the real control is found when we can uncover and transform the pocket of emotional material inside us that has been triggered. It needs our own attention and healing.

When we consciously heal these parts of us, other people and outside situations begin to have less power over us. Although they might hurt or make us feel uncomfortable, having our own inner self-control helps us from being completely overtaken by it.
