We’ve all heard the saying, “Time heals everything.” But does is really? There’s a missing piece to that.

Waiting for our emotional material to simply heal on its own could be one of the tricks of the ego. To heal our past, more than likely, there is something rooted in repressed emotions that we ought to be processing. The challenge is, as long as this stuff is inside of us, it’ll keep making itself known, getting louder and louder, until we understand that we’ve simply buried our feelings. The wounds of our past have something to teach us, and if this teaching is not integrated into our day-to-day reality, we’ll continue to be held back by our painful past experiences. Real, positive, lasting change is not created by the passage of time, but by the transformation of consciousness.
